Photoacoustic and photothermal detection of photosensitized oxygenations

چکیده
Study of relaxation processes of excited states of hematoporphyrin IX QW) solutions (in ethanol and methanol) in the presence of tetramethyl ethylene chemical acceptor using both the photoacoustic (PA) microphone and photothermal (PT) PZT detection, is described. A significant difference between PA and PT signal behaviour has been observed when extremely low (down to 1.25 pM, PT measurements) and high (up to 2.5 mM, PA measurements) concentrations of sensitizer were used.

Triple-channel microreactor for biphasic gas–liquid reactions: Photosensitized oxygenations
A triple-channel microreactor fabricated by means of a soft-lithography technique was devised for efficient biphasic gas-liquid reactions. The excellent performance of the microreactor was demonstrated by carrying out photosensitized oxygenations of α-terpinene, citronellol, and allyl alcohols.
متن کاملComparing the analytical potential of PAS, PDS, TL and PTPS for trace detection of pesticides in water
Performances of four related techniques i.e., photoacoustic spectroscopy, photothermal deflection, thermal lensing, and photothermal phase shift spectroscopy have been compared to the conventional beam transmittance spectrophotometry. This concerns to the analytical potential in studies of environmental pollutants. Solutions of pesticides in water are used as specimens in this study. Spectropho...
متن کاملEnhanced thermal stability of silica-coated gold nanorods for photoacoustic imaging and image-guided therapy
Photothermal stability and, therefore, consistency of both optical absorption and photoacoustic response of the plasmonic nanoabsorbers is critical for successful photoacoustic image-guided photothermal therapy. In this study, silica-coated gold nanorods were developed as a multifunctional molecular imaging and therapeutic agent suitable for image-guided photothermal therapy. The optical proper...
متن کاملPhotothermal deflection spectroscopy and detection.
The theory for a sensitive spectroscopy based on the photothermal deflection of a laser beam is developed. We consider cw and pulsed cases of both transverse and collinear photothermal deflection spectroscopy for solids, liquids, gases, and thin films. The predictions of the theory are experimentally verified, its implications for imaging and microscopy are given, and the sources of noise are a...
متن کاملOne-pot solventless preparation of PEGylated black phosphorus nanoparticles for photoacoustic imaging and photothermal therapy of cancer.
Black phosphorus (BP) nanostructures such as nanosheets and nanoparticles have attracted considerable attention in recent years due to their unique properties and great potential in various physical, chemical, and biological fields. In this article, water-soluble and biocompatible PEGylated BP nanoparticles with a high yield were prepared by one-pot solventless high energy mechanical milling te...
